Except from God is Not a Republican
(C) 2012 Benjamin Dixon
“Joshua, being the bold leader that he always was, unknowingly approached the Son of God and asked whether He was for them or their adversaries. Christ did not directly answer Joshua’s question but instead said, “No.” The Amplified Bible translates no as neither. This Old Testament scripture gives us the answer to one of the biggest questions and misconceptions we have about God: “Is God on our side or theirs?” The answer is neither.
No matter how honest and sincere the intentions of leaders such as James Robison, Pat Robertson, James Kennedy, and Jerry Falwell were, the result of their actions is still the same: Christians have been delivered into the hands of men and women who have made promises on issues that they have no intention or ability to change. Republicans have gotten the Evangelical vote in the name of Christ, and won victories in the name of their economic policies.
This does not make the Republican Party evil or nefarious. This is simply what political parties do…”
